This picture of her kids map of Hogwarts reminds me of my childhood and the maps my dad would draw for us of our neighborhood. Full on replica of our court, indicating that this mailbox was the post office, that sewer drain housing was my apartment, the driveway across the street; that was the grocery store. Armed with these maps and lists of errands our mom made up, we would ride our bikes around for hours pretending to be grown ups out in our own made up world. 

I was introduced to this website/blog by Stacy Julian on a recent Paperclipping episode, and it is such a, well, awesome thing! Some of the stuff I scratch my head, thinking it must be a personal preference but others I am all like, “oh yeah, that IS totally AWESOME!!” Check it out if you get the chance. 

This is totally cute. But not sure DH would go for it. Encouraging kids to draw and color on the walls…..yeah in my family that probably isn’t a good idea. But still cute.
